After quality control , evaluation and classification into grades, coffee is ready to be marketed.
From july onwards, clean coffee is currently marketed in two ways. Coffee is offered for export at the weekly tender held every wednesday at 11 AM at the headquarters of OCIBU in Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi.
Second way of trading is direct sale open freely to all exporters
The OCIBU recognized the importance of close relations between producer and buyer in the coffee market, chose to open a direct window to facilitate closer relations, accelerate the speed of sales either via the tenders or via direct sale.
